Review about Miss Karey Mathematics

by Mr.Salim, HOD of Mathematics, Macpherson Secondary School, Singapore.

Why it is desirable:
Detailed explanations of topics in the class room ranging from algebra to volume are accompanied by beautiful animations and three-dimensional graphical representations as well as real-life examples such as buildings and the surroundings. These help to visualize some of the concepts.

The disc is also suitable for children who want to go a little deeper with their maths homework, as it can be seen as a ready tool to expand inquisitive minds through the exercises found.

The teacher can track the progress of the child through the progress report and the modern child will be contented with the game provided which test his/her mathematical skills.

Teachers will find the disc extremely useful when it comes to creating continual or semestral exams in the exam tool section. Pupils can then access the exam/test through the particular drive the teacher stores, e.g. in the server or in a disc.

How it will improve learning opportunities:
There certainly is value - while the disc should certainly be in the School's library, it also represents exceedingly good value for home use.

How the improvement can be assessed:
Again, look at the progress report of each individual pupil as they can be identified though personalized login data.
